WEATHER
The best time to visit the UAE is from November to April when the weather is good. In the remaining months probably will spend most of the day moving from one air conditioner to another one instead of visiting other interesting places. Ramadan, the month when Muslims celebrate the fast from dawn to dusk, is strictly observed in the country and places that serve alcoholic beverages normally, during this period do not. From May to September there is a lot of moisture and Abu Dhabi and Dubai the day temperature is around 40 º C. In the eastern coastal cities of Fujairah and Khor Fakkan the weather is a bit less hostile thanks to occasional breezes. Even the mountains above the Ras al-Khaimah gives some relief from the heat. Average maximum temperature during the rest of the year lowers to reach 22-30 º C. Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah are sometimes very windy and desert areas around Al-Ain may be very cold. Rainfall is virtually non-existent between May and October and very rare during the rest of the year, although December and January weather conditions may  get worse and might have some problems when traveling.

EVENTS
The religious festivals follow the Islamic Hijra calendar (other than Western Europe) and can therefore fall on different dates from year to year. Eid al-Fitr (the end of Ramadan), Eid al- Adha (Pilgrimage) Laylat al-Mi'raj (Ascension of the Prophet), the Birthday of the Prophet and the Islamic New Year are the main celebrations. Among the secular holidays are New Year (January 1st) and National Day (December 1)
.

ENVIRONMENT
The UAE occupy the area of the shape of rhinoceros horn that creeps in the Persian Gulf from the northeastern tip of the peninsula. It borders Saudi Arabia to the south and west and Oman to the east. The northern coast faces Iran and Qatar situated just 50 km north-west. The seven emirates are Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm al Qaiwain. They cover an area that roughly corresponds to  Portugal. The emirate of Abu Dhabi covers 85 % of the total area. The smallest emirate is Ajman measuring only 250 square kilometers .

Most of the country hinterland is occupied by desert, which extends to the edge of the Empty Quarter, the largest sand desert in the world, occupying the south-eastern Saudi Arabia. The coastline is delineated by salt, while the north and east parts are green and have inviting mountains. Among animals that inhabit the country are the Arabian leopard and ibex, but except for camels and wild goats, here you see a very diverse fauna. In spring and autumn it is sometimes possible to see flocks of birds migrating to the north from Central Asia and East Africa. Apart the mountainous areas of Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah, most of the vegetation in the UAE is the result of a reforestation program of the government, even the natural concentrations of date palm oasis of Buraimi, the est border of the country have been supplemented by a few acres of grass and trees planted in municipal parks
The UAE are born from the union of seven sovereign sheikhdoms founded in 1971, when Britain's armed forces left the Gulf. Travel agents are beginning to promote this country as ' land of different contrasts ', it must be said that, for once, this presentation has some foundation, since the country offers mountains, beaches, deserts, oases, racing camel, Bedouin markets and the famous tax-free goods in Dubai, all on a relatively small area. If you decide to visit one state among those that face the Gulf, the UAE is probably the best choice. The country in fact has less stringent entry regulations, the best tourist infrastructure and, while presenting itself as an exclusive destination for tourists willing to spend large sums of money, is a tourist destination accessible to different travelers budget.

INTERESTING PLACES
Dubai
Dubai is one of the last bastions of old school of capitalism, since its wealth comes from trade and not oil, will not find another place like this among cities of the Gulf. Dubai is the most welcoming city in the country, boasts the most vibrant nightlife and offers a wide choice to those wishing to purchase goods tax-free.
Abu Dhabi
It is hard to believe that the modern, elegant and luxurious Abu Dhabi continues to grow, forty years ago was just a gloomy village of fishermen and pearl production, this is probably the most interesting city among those that face the Gulf, but it is not so empty of spirit, as claimed by his detractors.
Al- Ain
Al- Ain is the main center of Buraimi oasis, located between Abu Dhabi and Oman. Its sister city is Buraimi, located across the border, but visitors can move freely between the two areas , so you can have an idea of Oman without the hassle of obtaining a visa
Sharjah
the third emirate for the extension, it is unfortunately often overlooked or visited quickly. Offers some of the most interesting buildings in the country, including the largest mosque, an archaeological museum, a small Disneyland, a large number of watchtowers, a fine natural history museum, a mix that compete with those of Dubai plus an ancient testimony to a vanished lifestyle
UNITED ARAB EMIRATES INFO TRAVEL
THE TRIP
The main international airports in the UAE are Dubai and Abu Dhabi, but a growing number of airlines are also used to Sharjah. There are other smaller international airports in Fujairah, Ras al- Khaimah and Al Ain, mainly used by charter flights. There is no departure tax if you travel by plane. From Dubai and Abu Dhabi there are daily flights to most European cities and major destinations in the Middle East and Gulf. Here you will find flights to the United States, North Africa, the Indian subcontinent and Australia. The airline of Dubai is Emirates Airlines (www.emirates.com), while the national is Etihad Airways (www.etihadairways.com). Both have an excellent reputation for safety, linking the country to destinations worldwide. In Sharjah, in 2003, was founded another airline, Air Arabia 's economy (www.airarabia.com), which offers connections to the Gulf, Middle East and Asia.

Among the land borders opened to tourists are the Darah (a Tibat to Musandam) Wajaja (Hatta) Khatmat Malahah (near Jebel Hafeet ) and Al Hill (Al Ain - Buraimi). If you rent a car in the UAE, you will need additional insurance if you plan to go in Oman.

The coach of the Oman National Transport Company (ONTC) link Muscat to Dubai via Hatta and vice versa.

The shipping company Valfajre Iranian-8 has two weekly ferries that ply between Bandar-e Abba in Iran and Port Khalid in Sharjah, the crossing (one way) takes 12 hours. The local agent is Oasis Freight Agency

TRANSPORT
UAE have no domestic flights.
The Dubai Transport bus or minibus travel in all the emirates, but the only line that carries passengers on the return journey is to Sharjah. The other bus return back empty . Al Ghazal buses link Dubai to Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, also provide internal connections in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Having a car is the best way to explore the UAE. The main roads are well maintained and, ideally, you should drive into the right. The locals do not have a driving style particularly pleasant, even if you have only a small inclination to prudence, you have to drive very carefully, especially when you are in roundabouts. If you want to rent a car, you must have a credit card and international driving license . You also need a passport.
