HIGHLIGHTS
Among Southeast Asia countries, Thailand is what obvious keeps most traces of the history and art from the past, offers tourists the ancient ruins, temples and deserted cities. Vacationers will enjoy the idyllic beaches and enchanting islands - providing them to stay away from the channels of corporate hotels. Who is attracted by large cities, Bangkok will be in a delightful example of chaotic and polluted city, but full of energy and cultural treasures.

Travel to Thailand is not difficult: transports are efficient, do not pay too much for sleep and national cuisine is exquisite. The fame of the incredible Thai people's hospitality has spread everywhere often described as pleasurable and carefree, but over the centuries have fought to keep intact the spirit of freedom and independence.
WEATHER
Regarding the climate, the best time for much of Thailand runs from November to February, the less rainy/hot months. If you intend to visit only the south, are indicated months of March, April and May, when the rest of the country is suffocating from the heat. The north is recommended from end of November and early December or February, when the temperature begins to rise. The worst months to go to Bangkok are in April, when the city turns into a oven, and October full of torrential rain. Thailand reaches full house in December and August, months with the fewest tourists are May, June and September
.

EVENTS
Many traditional festivals are linked to Buddhist or Brahman rituals and follow the lunar calendar. In mid April is celebrated the Thai New Year, the Songkran, they 'wash statues of Buddha, honoring monks and elders by sprinkling a bit 'of water, but then will began to throw water just for fun. Other festivals are related to the sowing and rice harvesting. In early May, the king officially opens the paddy fields season with an old Brahman ritual in a field in central Bangkok. In the northeast of the country in May held the festival of rockets, during which they shoot into the air a mixture of bamboo and gunpowder to convince the sky to send rain to rice cultivations. From September to May throughout Thailand there are various festivals celebrating the rice's harvest. Between September and October will be held in Phuket and Trang the vegetarian days, Chinese Buddhists eat only vegetarian food, go in procession through the city and officiate ceremonies in Chinese temples. In Surin is held, around November, a elephants race, a festival during which you can see the pachyderms play soccer!

THE TRIP
Speaking about Thailand comes out a bad news, means that a flight to Bangkok is quite expensive. There is a good news too, namely that once there you can buy a ticket for economic return. The major airport is Bangkok. Remember that flights to / from Thailand are often full, so is better to confirm the flight for return when just arrived. More and more tourists coming into Thailand by land from the four border crossings of Malaysia: two are located on the west coast, one in the center and the other on the east coast.
THAILAND INFO TRAVEL
To travel by train from Kuala Lumpur or Singapore to Bangkok, you can not buy a single ticket, but there are express trains that pass the border to Malaysia Pedang Besar. Normally there's a stop trip to Butterworth, Malaysia, to sleep on the floor and take the best connections. The luxurious Eastern & Oriental Express, however, cross the entire line Bangkok-Singapore, but this privilege is very expensive. There are also several crossing points between Thailand and Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, but are not very popular -  not officially at least.

And 'legal for foreigners to cross the Mekong River by boat between Thailand and Laos.

TRANSPORT
The "Thai International" serves several domestic airports, but many tourists prefer to travel on the comfortable bus or train. Buses are frighteningly always fast and air-conditioning equipped and other amenities. Trains are comfortable, frequent, always in time, not very expensive, but a bit 'too slow. In Bangkok and other provincial capitals can be rented cars, suvs and vans. In tourist cities also ispossible to hire motorbikes.

To get around cities or for short distances outside, is using to take taxis, 'tuk-tuk' (motor-
riscị),''samlor '(pedal riscio') and' songthaew '(small trucks). Bangkok taxis have almost all meters, songthaew usually travel on fixed routes at fixed fares, to take a taxi to out town will the samlor and tuk-tuks, however, must negotiate the price and determine the exact fare before leave.

Another alternative is to rent a bicycle to enjoy calmly the landscapes of the country
