WEATHER
Best months to visit Spain are May, June and September (also in April and October in the south ). During this period of year you can usually count on good weather conditions, along with avoiding excessive heat and the large influx of Spanish tourists and foreigners. In fact, in some parts of Spain the weather is fair throughout the year. Along southern coasts and south-eastern Mediterranean winter is mild, while in summer you can escape in the northwest, on the beaches or mountains to avoid the excessive heat. If you want to be sure to attend some party remember that the most important ones are held between Semana Santa (Holy Week) and September.

EVENTS
Following the Spanish style, events are usually celebrated with great feasts and holidays. Among festivals, worth to watch are festividad of San Sebastian in January, during which all the inhabitants of San Sebastian wear costumes for the event and give a frenzied celebration. Carnival is celebrated throughout Spain in late February: the wildest seems to be is to Sitges. In March, Valencia will hold a festival called Las Fallas, which lasts one week and is characterized by splendid fireworks, colorful parades, drinking and dancing that lasts all night. During Semana Santa (Holy Week), which precedes Sunday Easter, sacred images are carried in procession along the streets: on this time Seville is particularly striking. On late April, the city also hosts the Feria de Abril, which balance the religious fervor of Holy Week: Do not miss if you can find accommodation.
The last Wednesday of August in the city of Buñol rages "La Tomatina", during which the tomatoes remained from the crop are happily trown. The Running of the Bulls (San Fermin) in Pamplona in July is the most famous festival in Spain. Along the north coast is celebrated, staged during the first fortnight of August, the Semana Grande (another great opportunity to drink and drunkenness!).
