WEATHER
The climate of London is
one of the mildest in
England,  cold wet winters
but not overly and
moderately hot summers.
However, in London the
weather is extremely
unstable, expect clouds
and rain in summer.
Temperatures in July and
August show an average of about 18 ° C but sometimes with peaks of 30 ° C. Spring and autumn average fluctuates between 11 ° C and 15 ° C. Winter temperatures drop to less than 6 ° C, and only very rarely drop below zero. These data may suggest a mild climate, but the humidity is often and make the cold more intense.

TRANSPORT
Pollution and traffic jams of London tranform journeys by car and bicycle in an extreme sport. Sit back - a classic red double-decker bus, a ferry that crosses the Thames or an elegant black cab - and let's be a resident of the place to tackle this chaos. Alternatively, take the subway: you will surely experience his notorious inefficiency, but still the fastest way to get around the city.

On foot
Since many of the main attractions of the center are close to each other, walking is an excellent choice and allows to have an overview of the city.

Bus
If you hurry, buses are a pleasant and interesting way to get around the city, if that traffic is not congested. See London from the top of a red double-decker bus is a must for all tourists.
www.tfl.gov.uk/buses . The city also has more than 60 night buses (recognizable by the letter 'N' before the number) running from midnight till 4:30 am.

Car
If you drive a car in London, you will find the nightmare. Parking is almost impossible in the center, and parking in a prohibited area will be punished in unusual and particularly cruel.

Bicycle
The chaotic traffic makes cycling transport highly inadvisable, as economic. Almost all London cyclists wear masks to defend against pollution and become true experts in the art of gymkhana with cars. After the terrorist attacks in London Underground in 2005, more and more city dwellers use the bike and some associations pushing to construct bicycle paths in the city.

Boats
Various types of boats sail on the Thames and London's canals, many companies offer a shuttle service. Only Thames Clippers (
www.thamesclippers.com) really provides a shuttle service and the opportunity to see many monuments sailing comfortably. Boats depart from Embankment at the Savoy Pier and go up to Masthouse Tce in the Docklands, via Tower Bridge, Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe and Canary Wharf.

Subway
The vast London Underground network (consisting of 14 lines) is legendary, especially because it is not particularly pleasant to use, you will often have to stay long in the middle of a tunnel. Nevertheless, it remains the quickest and easiest way to get around the city.
London is one of biggest transportation hubs in the world, then there are countless ways to reach it. Its main airports - Heathrow and the smaller Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and City - are all well connected with Underground tube.
